What compatible means
A compatible cartridge is made by a third party, here Lapcare, to work in specific printers. It is not an original HP, Canon or Brother cartridge, and the printer makers’ names are used only to show which printers it fits.
Match the printer, not the brand
Toner cartridges are specific to printer families. Use your exact printer model, for example a HP LaserJet 1020 or a Canon MF216n, not just the brand name.
Check the cartridge reference
References such as 12A, 88A, 137A, 166A, 925 and 337 identify the cartridge type. Your printer’s manual or the old cartridge’s label shows the one it takes.

With chip or without
Two cartridges here are supplied with a chip — the 166A and the 137A. The chip is what the listed printers use to recognise the cartridge, so choose the chip version for those printer families.
Page yield
Lapcare lists a yield of 1,500 pages for the 166A and 1,150 pages for the 137A. Yields for the other cartridges are not listed, so confirm expected yield with your enquiry. Actual yield always varies with how much of each page is printed.
Handling and storage
Follow the instructions in the box and remove the protective seal and tab before installing. Lapcare’s listing for the chip cartridges gives an operating range of 10 to 30°C, storage of 0 to 35°C and 15 to 85% relative humidity; keep cartridges in their packaging until use.
